My wife Bethany has been leading a group study of an evangelism book called Tell Someone by Greg Laurie. Here’s how she’s doing it and why I think it’s been a great thing for our church.
She’s been recording her thoughts about each week’s reading (two chapters per week) and people are reading along and commenting their own thoughts either on Facebook or on our church website.
I thought this was such a nice idea. Everyone seems to be enjoying the book a lot.
I think having things like this can be a great way to help encourage a culture of personal evangelism in the church.
- It gets us talking about evangelism
- We learn practical ways to get better at explaining our faith
- It tells the whole church “We care about evangelism.”
I would love to hear from you about things that your church has done to help encourage personal evangelism!
